Description

Grey (Kandla) – Sandstone is a striking light grey and can have attractive veining and blueish undertones. A hand-cut stone product, Kandla grey Indian Sandstone has a split riven finish. It is also known as Stone Grey and castle grey.

Available in multi size packs that cover a total area of 20.2m2, these packs consist of 4 different sized slabs enabling you to create a varied and attractive random effect patio, you can also purchase individual sizes if needed as well as circle patio kits and matching edges setts.
Natural Indian Sandstone
We have many choices in Natural stone with a wide variety of ranges with colours from striking creams to rustic browns, burnt siennas and striking greys. Each range is different and has its own characteristics but all Sandstones are wonderful in that every single piece is different and can have distinctive markings, colours, and tonal variations. The Mint, Raj, Camel and Grey have soft riven surfaces and hand-cut edges. Smoother honed versions may also be available, please do ask.
The Industry standard recommends to allow an extra 10% when ordering due to breakages that occur during shipping from India, breakages should be utilised for cuts and small gaps, we would also recommend that natural Sandstone is laid on a full mortar bed and requires a 10mm minimum joint width and is to be pointed in. Sandstone is a natural product and may also be subject to weathering, efflorescence and staining. Due to the unique colouring in all sandstone and the natural variations when laying more than one pack in an area you must blend the packs and lay from all the packs as you go along, this is to ensure that all the colours are blended as intended and not create blocks of only one shade.
